For anyone seeking a calmer, more confident approach to dating. Gentle, practical reflections on understanding yourself and connecting with others. This edition is in Finnish.

For anyone who wants to hear their own thoughts amid everyday life. 365 moments to explore your feelings, needs and dreams, at your own pace. Available in Finnish.
OMA clothing and accessories are also in the works. We will introduce them when they are available to buy.
We are developing Kohtaamisia, a service for adults in Finland. A place to introduce yourself with a photograph and a few words of your own.
The service is not open yet. We are taking our time to build it around respectful interaction and clear ground rules.
The idea is a simple introduction: a photo, a short text and your town or city. Planned features include profile review before publication, a reporting tool and moderation by the team. We will announce the final features and launch separately.
To us, Oma Ihminen means both connection with another person and room to be yourself. Being whole does not mean you stop longing for closeness, needing others or learning to share your life with them.

Open the GateI WAS WRONG
I thought I knew what love was.
I thought I knew what it meant to be on my own.
I thought I understood people.
And perhaps most of all, I thought I knew myself.
I was wrong. And that is a good thing.
See what life taught meIn Finnish, own means “one’s own.” My own home — your own home. My own voice — your own voice. My own person — someone close to your heart. Your person.
Here in the North, where winter holds the land in silence and summer light lingers through the night, own Carries a kind of quiet belonging.
Perhaps you recognise it beside a darkening sea, in the warmth of a cabin window, or among trees that have no need to know your name. The feeling that you can let your shoulders fall. That you have arrived somewhere you do not have to explain yourself.
Oma Ihminen grew from that feeling: the freedom to belong to yourself, and the warmth of making room for someone beside you.
Alone, yet whole.
